HR Advisor

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Job description: 

  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Participate in special HR projects
  • Create a career program for key employees
  • Manage the annual program of internal / external training (1% law) and track training activities;
  • Maintain employee files
  • Perform administrative tasks related to employee dismissals / resignations
  • Responsible for job postings, phone interviews, interviews with candidates and reference checks
  • Manage short and long-term disability files;
  • Participate in the administration of the group insurance and pension plan;
  • Other related duties as may be required
  • Work with managers to prepare job descriptions
  • Research and respond to general employee and manager questions on HR policies and processes. Escalate more serious issues to the appropriate individual for resolution.
  • Other related duties as may be required

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in HR
  • Bilingual
  • Asset: Knowledge of the plumbing and tubular sector
  • Asset: CRHA title
